Two of my dear friends; Marit and Mark rode by bicycle "The Southern Tier" in Spring of 2014. It has inspired Guy and I to use this route as a guide for our Southern Trip 2015. However, we plan to make several detours along the way enveloping more area than the ltraditional bike route. Our coast to coast trip will cover well over 6,000 miles as we depart from St. Augustine, Florida bound for San Diego, California (or thereabouts). We will be accompanied by several of our golden retrievers in the RV we have lovingly named "Rhonda". This will be our 5th major trip in the RV where we will be adding to the 38,000 miles we have already explored. We will also be able to color in and almost complete all the states on our map! With gas prices at an all time low and Rhonda only getting 7 miles to the gallon, we realized now is a great time to go! Preparations are underway collecting information, viewing maps, discovering places we want to visit and contacting friends and family we will visit along the way!
